How the Concept Works

Prerequisites:

There only exist two Prerequisites to be able to use all Four Puzzle Types:​​​

  1. Your own Music Streaming Service (all Puzzles).

  2. Access to a Printer (Printable Puzzles).

Themes:

Start with choosing a Theme for a Puzzle, e.g. an Artist, Genre or a Decade.

Games & Puzzles:

After beeing directed to the site dedicated to your choosen Theme, then choose type of Game (Crossword or Quiz) and type of Puzzle (Printable or Interactive). All you need will be found there.

Puzzle Instructions:

Crosswords and Quizzes are probably familiar to most users, and therefore Self Explained, and the Instructions can simplified be summarized as follows:

  1. Identify correct Crossword (or Quiz) and associated Play List, which all shall have the same number (e.g. #007).

  2. Play the Songs from the Play List, in stated order, and read the Questions (also in the same order).

  3. Fill in the correct answer in the Crossword, or mark the correct alternative in the Quiz.

  4. Submit or correct your Answers.​

That´s pretty much it, but if you feel you are in need of further Instructions they can be found on page "Instructions".

Teamplay & Moderator

Are many people solving the same Crossword or Quiz, Individually or in Teams, and maybe also competing against each other? Then it might be a good idea to use a non-participating Moderator.

 

​There are a couple of features that will benefit extra from the use of a Moderator.

 

All Question Lists include two Optional Clues per question that can be used if all participants consider the question to be hard. This feature is easier to apply when a Moderator is used.

​

The Song List include Additional Information the Moderator can use to make some questions harder or easier. This primary effect questions where the answer is revealed a bit into the song, where the time-stamp for the revelation is noted (and the Moderator can stop the song before the revelation).

Single Play

If you solve the Crosswords alone there are a few things to consider:

You have to play the Play List without looking to much at it. This issue can be solved in different ways, where a few options are mentioned below.

 

1. The Play Lists QR-codes will facilitate playing the songs from another device.

2. Since the Question Lists and Play Lists correspond (sorted in the same way) an alternative is to use the "skip to the next song- functionality" which many devices support.

3. Skip to next song using Voice Command.

If using the pdf Question List, note that you will also see all Optional Clues. That is when the shorter form of the Question List, i.e. Question List (Short), incorporated in the Printable Crossword, comes in handy.
